 Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access my account?

The red My Account link at the top of each page will take you directly to the log in screen. The login button in the upper right-hand corner of the page is an administrative log in for  the website, and will not give you access to your library record.

How do I request an item from another RCLS library?

To place a hold on an item belonging to another library, first log in to your RCLS account. Next, search for the item you want to request using either the Classic Catalog, or the Aquabrowser Catalog. Click on the record for the desired item. If you are using the Classic Catalog, click the tan button labeled Request Item. If you are using the Aquabrowser catalog, click the blue Place Hold link on the  right-hand side of the screen. Clicking on either Request Item or Place Hold brings up a second screen with a blue header containing the message "Please Confirm Your Request". Confirm your request by clicking the blue button labeled "Request."

Sometimes when I request a TV series on DVD, or a book in a particular series, I don't get the one I want. Why?

The online catalog does not allow patrons to make requests for specific volumes within a set. Rather, your request will be placed for any item attached to that record, even if it is not the volume you intended to request. Library staff can request specific items for you at the circulation desk, or over the phone, with your library card.

What is my PIN?
Your default PIN is the last four digits of the phone number on your library record.
