Mission Statement

The goal of the Josephine-Louise Public Library is to provide materials and services to help meet the diverse educational, professional, and recreational needs of the community. To meet this goal, emphasis is placed on providing a variety of materials and services for people of all ages with differing cultural and personal interests. The Library strives to create an appropriate environment to meet these needs.

Amazing Orange Summer Scavenger Hunt
The Orange Library Association is sponsoring the first Amazing Orange Summer Scavenger Hunt to coincide with summer reading programs. All 17 Orange County libraries - including Walden - are participating. Stop in to JLPL to find out more about this exciting program. The contest runs from July 5-August 12.
Local produce deivery coming to JLPL!!!

Josephine-Louise Public Library is now a Field Goods pick-up location, and we're the first and only one in Walden! Receive a bag of local produce from small farms. With four sizes of bags — priced from $16 to $31 per week — there’s a perfect option for any family or individual. And it’s flexible; you can easily put on hold and re-start your subscription any time. Pick up on Thursdays starting June 9 … that's real convenient and real healthy. Board of Trustees meetings
The Library Board of Trustees meet every 1st Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Community Room.
