Mission Statement

The goal of the Josephine-Louise Public Library is to provide materials and services to help meet the diverse educational, professional, and recreational needs of the community. To meet this goal, emphasis is placed on providing a variety of materials and services for people of all ages with differing cultural and personal interests. The Library strives to create an appropriate environment to meet these needs.

 JLPL is pleased to offer numerous holiday-themed for you and your family to enjoy. Registration is required for all programs. Sign up at the Circulation or Children's desks or call 778-7621. See the Events calendar for program descriptions.

  • 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, December 10: Annual Holiday Train Display and Visit from Santa Claus (1-2 p.m.)
  • 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 13: Decorative Deer with Beth Balogh
  • 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 14: Gingerbread Cookie Decorating Fun for ages 2-5 and their families
  • 6:30 p.m. Thursday, December 15: Christmas Song Stories with Eileen Stelljes
  • 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 20: Family Book Club: Gingerbread Friends by Jan Brett
Board of Trustees meetings
The Library Board of Trustees meet every 1st Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Community Room.
Library now offers FAX service

Josephine-Louise Public Library now offers a FAXing service to the community.

The cost is $1 per page.
